Ways & Means to Support Shoot The Messenger:

Shoot The Messenger is an ‘Open Source’ project, meaning we give away some of our (award-winning) music for free, both at this site, and at our shows.

This doesn’t mean it’s worthless; this is what you do to promote yourself when you’re not yet selling out MSG (or Union Hall in Brooklyn).

But just think, every band you’ve ever known and loved started out the way we did: ambitious, (somewhat) talented, and unknown.

So if you like our music (to hear us is to love us, no?), then please support us in any way you can imagine.

Some suggestions follow (email us at ShootTheMessenger@gmail.com if you’ve got any other ideas):

1- Attend an STM Show

Give us a decent sound person, we’ll give you a great show.

We play out in NYC about once per month; check the calender.

And until we’re drawing a few hundred people, we’ll be giving away a limited number of EPs at every show.

2- Donate

I’m not quite starving, but I am an artist, attempting to self-produce my first CD.

You’re a patron of the fine music, looking for a worthy cause; or looking to satisfy a New Years’ resolution.

How is this different than just buying the CD?

1- you can always donate more than $10.

2- the money goes towards current production costs (mixing, mastering, duplicating, etc).
