Re MSCDemocracy: my intent was to create a classic protest song a la Phil Ochs, Dylan, therefore it’s gotta be acoustic. I mixed it up a bit w/some overdriven guitar in starting in the 2nd verse.

But, yeah, a punk version could also do the song right.

I love ‘recasting’ songs; we regular perform ‘reggified’ versions of pop classics, like ‘What So Funny..’, ‘Don’t Lemme Be Misunderstood,’ et. al.

Loved your lyrics.

I especially loved the lyrics on “This Is Why Life Sucks”. My life’s story.

Although I think that changing tempos & dynamics in the songs might have improved them musically. On some of the angrier songs (ie; “My So-Called Democracy”), I might have used a more “punkish” electric guitar style & a faster tempo, but that’s just me. after all, I’m a big Sex Pistols & Ramones fan.

I love Alive.
It reminds me of a soldier I once meet on a trip to florida within the terminal of the airport. He was holding his 2 year old daughter he to return home before he left for Iraq again. As I was speaking to him he had expressed his fears while he was serving in Iraq and his fears going back. This song is very real!

Plus you have an amazing vocalist and lyricist!
